Online Lotteries March 2020
The latest from Online Lotteries in March
March has been an interesting month for online lotteries. A lot of news and change around the world and lotteries have been affected as well.
Even though there are som tough things happening right now there are also several great!
I’ll start this months recap with the good news and end with the not so good, let’s go!
Arab Lottery Winners from India
Starting of the month I told you about the Indian winner streak in the Dubai Lottery. From the 21 of January to the 3 of March the Dubai lottery had four Indian jackpot winners that won more than Rs. 29 crores together.
Each winner got 1 million US dollars.
Later another Arab lottery awarded an Indian lottery syndicate almost Rs. 20 crore.
The syndicate that was 8 Indians won a Big Ticket jackpot worth 10 million AED. Each of the eight got almost Rs. 2.5 crores each.
Genuine Lottery Or Scam?
Later I deep dived into a lottery website that a reader sent in as a tip. The latest addition to “Genuine Lottery or Scam?”, my series where I expose potential scam lottery sites.
Many of you may have heard of the government lottery in Bhutan but there is also the bhutanlottery.com.
The website claimed it sold online tickets to the Bhutan lottery but as almost no government lotteries sell tickets on the web it grabbed my attention.
If you want to find find out the verdict go on over to “Bhutan Lottery: Genuine Or Scam?“.
March also saw the preview of a new Guide series. I uploaded the first part Game Features Explained which deep dives into the Powerball Power Play.
If you want to learn more about maximizing your Powerball wins you should check it out.
Further on in March, there was sadly bad news. The Coronavirus impacted most of the world and lotteries were also impacted. Both government lotteries and international lotteries were altered in some way.
The first corona news I posted was the Powerball lottery. The lockdown in the US decreased the amount of ticket sold which has led Powerball to lower the jackpot.
Another international lottery that has been affected is SuperEnaLotto. Since it is originally an Italian lottery with all the administration done in Rome they took a break until they get control of the virus in Italy.
SuperEnaLotto is postponed until further notice but there is good news hidden in the bad. Lottoland will continue providing SuperEnaLotto tickets but their draw is based on their own Random Number Technology, you can read more about it in the post.
Finally, our government lotteries are affected by coronavirus as well. As of now the following lotteries have closed their operations until further notice:
- Kerala State Lottery
- Sikkim State Lottery
- Nagaland State Lottery
- Mizoram State Lottery
Remaining states will probably change soon.
Luckily almost all lottery websites remain open so if you want to play lotteries check out any of my favourite lotto websites below!
